Welcome to the fun world of Little STEAM Learners

HELLO LOVELY!

I’m Shahzia

I am the founder and creative content creator of Little STEAM Learners learning platform, and your very own STEAM guide, ready to assist you on your STEAM journey.

So what got me started? Well, let’s rewind back to about ten years ago, where a young biochemist decided to turn her world upside down and turned into an early years & primary school teacher. This new career and adventure, taught me so much about myself, about the little learners we grow and opened my eyes to the power of play, hands-on and creative learning

Fast forward to about 6 years later, this early years teacher decided to take another leap, this time becoming a creative play and science educator. For the past decade I have been working with children, parents, and educators across the globe in bringing science, engineering, and art learning into their everyday life. I love working with children and combining my unique background to create fun and inspiring activities for little hands.

My love for STEAM education, tinkering and engaging in creative fun is what lead me to start the Little STEAM Learners. At Little STEAM Learners, our mission is to inspire and grow curious independent learners through creative, playful and experimental learning. So come join me to explore, create and learn together. Let’s make learning fun, easy and affordable.

I love doing steam based activities with my kids (3 & 6) but I don’t always know how to explain the “STEAM” behind it. That’s why I love the activities shared by Little STEAM Learners. You get a creative steam based activity, the supply list and how to, and a steam explanation worded in the perfect way for little minds (and this mom) to understand and learn from.

My 5 year old loves the hands on experiments that he can do all by himself under parent supervision, of course! Little STEAM Learners activities are easy to follow, to explain to those curious minds and most of the ingredients are in the kitchen cupboards!

We often look to Shahzia’s wonderful ideas for inspiration. They never cease to engage and wow the children! A bright, colourful catalogue of simple, educational and fun set ups you can easily replicate using things you’ll find around the house! I also always find the captions super helpful as they break down the learning, target age and supplies needed!
