Early years educator, Mamma, STEAM Play Guide and Founder of Little STEAM Learners.

At Little STEAM Learners, we’re all about nurturing your little one’s curiosity, fostering creativity, and, most importantly, facilitating learning through play

Having worked with thousands of children and families over 12+ years, I’ve seen firsthand the transformative potential of STEAM play at home. Now, I’m here to help you unlock that potential.

My approach is to sprinkle STEAM learning in the home environment – creating opportunities for sparks of CREATIVITY, WONDER, EXPERIMENTATION, and plenty of learning, all on your child’s terms during play, allowing you to step back and witness the magic unfold.

What People Say About Us

I signed my inquisitive daughter up for the LSL Lab, and we are loving the content so far. The first inspiring video had us making colourful scratch images, and this was lots of fun (for mother and daughter). The best thing about the membership is that it can give me inspiration about projects that we can do together. This gives us some really valuable mother-daughter time together. The projects are fun and engaging, leading to questions, and learning. They’re also simple enough for kids to manage to do them alone, although it’s more fun together 😉. I would highly recommend this membership to anyone with creative, or inquisitive kids.

Little STEAM learners site is crammed full of fun activities to get your little ones engaged in STEAM learning. We love trying out new process art techniques and even better when we get to learn about the science behind them too. Floating chalk prints, bubble wrap art, tie-dyed eggs and chromatography have been some of our favourite activities so far. We also love our positive affirmation STEAM challenge cards to encourage creativity.

We often look to Shahzia’s wonderful ideas for inspiration. They never cease to engage and wow the children! A bright, colourful catalogue of simple, educational and fun set ups you can easily replicate using things you’ll find around the house! I also always find the captions super helpful as they break down the learning, target age and supplies needed!

My 5 year old loves the hands on experiments that he can do all by himself under parent supervision, of course! Little STEAM Learners activities are easy to follow, to explain to those curious minds and most of the ingredients are in the kitchen cupboards!

I love doing steam based activities with my kids (3 & 6) but I don’t always know how to explain the “steam” behind it. That’s why I love the activities shared by Little STEAM Learners. You get a creative steam based activity, the supply list and how to, and a steam explanation worded in the perfect way for little minds (and this mom) to understand and learn from.
