How to create Bubble Wrap Art -Painting and Printing

What you need:
  • Bubble wrap 
  • Paper
  • Paints (Tempera or Acrylic, you can also try watercolours)
  • Trays or plates
  • Rollers or paintbrushes
  • Tape (optional).
How to:

This activity is an explorative. It is pretty straightforward and provides little learners with the opportunity to explore, colour mixing, shapes, printmaking, textures, pressure and have an amazing sensory experience. For a quick guide or demonstration watch the video below.

Explore further:
  • Try taping the bubble wrap to a tree or wall, and then applying the paint. This provides for such a cool new outdoor experience. 
  • Mix bubble wrap with other print making supplies.
  • Paint the background of the paper and then apply the prints on it.
  • Turn it into a mixed media activity. Experiment with different types of paints. How do they affect the results?
  • Explore colour mixing

This Bubble wrap art activity is super fun and full of exploration. What I noticed it, not matter what colours or technique I used, no two pieces were the same. Each piece was beautifully unique and one of a kind! How awesome is that! Each of them had such vibrant contracts and when we used different sizes of bubble wraps the results were even more astounding. So do give it a try!
